纪念日前一天，孩子们又去了广场。他们数了数纪念碑上的名字，发现中间有一块空白的地方。
小雨问王老师：“这里为什么没有名字？”
王老师说：“也许名字掉了。”
陈可用手摸了摸石头。“不是掉了。这里从来没有写过。”
这时，赵镇长走过来。他看到孩子们站在纪念碑前，马上叫他们离开。
“这是大人的事。”他说。
晚上，小雨在网上找到一张旧照片。照片里的纪念碑有一块黑布，黑布下面正好是那个空位。
