HSK 1 Chinese Stories
The first chapters of the mystery are written for beginners around HSK 1. Xiaoyu (小雨) gets an old radio for her birthday, and with her friends A Ming (阿明) and Chen Ke (陈可) she explores Wuhe Town (雾河镇): school, the old radio station, the antenna on the hill and Grandma's photos. Sentences are short and the grammar stays basic, so you can follow the plot instead of decoding it. The mystery only starts in the last chapter of this level, when the radio picks up a voice that should not be there.
These eight stories introduce the children and 雾河镇. The mystery is not active yet. Only the final story contains the first unexplained signal.
