孩子们开始整理纪念碑上的名字。他们把现在的名单和旧报纸上的名字放在一起比较。
名单上有三十七个人，报纸上却提到四十九个人。少掉的十二个人都住在下河街。
“为什么只少了那里的名字？”小雨问。
他们去找郑阿姨。郑阿姨先说自己不知道，后来从抽屉里拿出一张旧表格。
表格上有很多红色的线。十二个名字被划掉，旁边写着“已离开本镇”。
陈可说：“可是李奶奶说她的孙子没有找到。”
郑阿姨低声说：“那一年，很多人没有身份证，也没有留下完整地址。事情太乱了。”
小雨看见表格的最下面有一个签名。签名很小，但是他们认出了“赵明”两个字。
郑阿姨马上把表格拿了回去。“今天就到这里。”
